Orhaniye is on the 30th kilometer (18th mile) of the road leading from Marmaris to Hisaronu and Bozburun, there is a beautiful cove within Hisarönü Bay. The stretch of a walkway just beneath the waters’ surface, called Kiz Kumu, is wonderful sight to see.There are various legends as to how this reddish 750-meter (2460-feet) walkway came into being. This is a must see venue for anyone who has traveled to Marmaris, and there are a few pensions and restaurants available for visitors. A newly established yacht marina has also begun to function. On a small islet within the bay, ruins of an ancient fortress are visible, reminding us of the past. The local population of the village is around 1000.
